Age Calculator – Exact Age & Age as on Date

Date of birth daalo aur turant jaano apni exact age – aaj ki date par ya kisi bhi cut-off date (jaise 01-08-2026) par.

How to use this age calculator

This free age calculator tells you your exact age in years, months and days. Just select your date of birth. By default the calculator uses today's date, but you can change the "Age as on date" field to any date. This is very useful for government job forms, because SSC, UPSC, Railway (RRB), banking (IBPS, SBI) and state PSC notifications always say "age as on 01-01-2026" or "age as on 01-08-2026". Your age on the form-filling day does not matter – only the age on that cut-off date matters.

Hindi mein samjhein: agar notification mein likha hai ki "aayu 01-08-2026 ko 27 varsh se adhik nahi honi chahiye", to "Age as on date" mein 01-08-2026 daaliye, max age mein 27 likhiye aur result turant dikh jayega ki aap eligible hain ya nahi.

How is exact age calculated?

The calculator first subtracts the birth year from the as-on year, then the months and then the days. If the days come out negative, one month is borrowed and the number of days of the previous month is added (28, 29, 30 or 31 – leap years are handled automatically). If months are negative, one year is borrowed and 12 months are added. This is the same method used by schools and recruitment boards, so the answer matches what you would get by counting on a calendar.

Age = (As-on date) − (Date of birth) → years, months, days

Along with the exact age you also get your age in total months, total weeks and total days, plus how many days are left for your next birthday. People born on 29 February get their next birthday counted on 28 February in non-leap years.

Age limit and eligibility for government exams

Most notifications give an age band such as 18–27 or 21–32 years. As per SSC and UPSC wording, a candidate "must not have attained" the upper age on the crucial date, so a person who has already completed 27 years is not eligible for a 27-year limit. Category relaxation (for example 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for PwBD in many central exams) is added to the maximum age – simply type the relaxed maximum in the "Max age limit" box. Always confirm the exact date-of-birth window printed in the official notification, because that is final.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How do I calculate my age as on a specific date?

Enter your date of birth, then change the 'Age as on date' field to the cut-off date given in the notification (for example 01-08-2026). The calculator shows your exact age in years, months and days on that date.

Kya ye age calculator leap year handle karta hai?

Haan. February ke 28 ya 29 din, aur har month ke sahi din automatically count hote hain, isliye result calendar jaisa hi accurate aata hai.

Which date of birth should I use for government forms?

Use the date of birth written in your Class 10 (matriculation) certificate. Recruitment boards accept only that date.

Am I eligible if my age is exactly equal to the maximum limit?

Usually no. SSC and UPSC rules say you must not have attained the maximum age on the crucial date. Check the exact date-of-birth window in your notification to be sure.

Is my date of birth stored anywhere?

No. The calculation runs fully inside your browser. Nothing you type is sent to any server.
